Self-Forgiveness

We are always asked to forgive others when they have wronged us, but we are rarely asked to forgive ourselves. Practicing forgiveness is best when we start with ourselves. It is important to take responsibility for our actions, but most times we go beyond taking action and become hard on ourselves. It’s good practice to forgive ourselves for our mistakes. We can achieve true self-love when we can begin to take the self-forgiveness path.

Little Tips for Self-forgiveness

1. Acknowledge that you care and this is why it’s difficult to forgive ourselves

2. Acknowledge that you are human and that we all make mistakes

3. Remember there are no failures as long as you are learning

4. Focus on what you learned instead of the mistake

5. Start forgiving yourself for the little things first

6. It takes practice to forgive yourself every day and it will lead to personal growth

At Little Kettle, we believe that self-forgiveness is an important step towards self-love and self-care. We acknowledge our humanness and we want our friends to do the same.
